Sobre 'Miss Me'
Noah "40" Shebib: "Lo hicimos en enero o febrero. Empezamos a trabajar en ello en Houston, estuvimos allí haciendo algunas cosas con Bun y empezamos a trabajar en'Miss Me' cuando tuvimos tiempo, por eso se escucha a Bun en el primer verso. Luego Drake quiso volver a trabajar el estribillo, así que lo cambiamos por el estribillo 'Miss Me', que se correspondía con la ausencia de Wayn, yo produje el estribillo y el outro. 1da produjo los versos. Con "Miss Me", tenía problemas con eso. La muestra me estaba molestando, y no pude hacer que encajara y sabía que Gadget la mataría, así que se la envié. Hicimos los ajustes a 'Miss Me' en marzo, una semana antes de que grabara el video, hice ese estribillo y grabó su verso al día siguiente".

Boi-1da dice respecto a la canción: "Fue hecha hace unos meses en mi sótano, se hizo muy rápido, tal vez unos 10 minutos. Fue otra muestra que oí, 'Wildflower' de Hank Crawford, estaba en mi computadora, era algo que solía escuchar al igual que otras canciones viejas. Cuando la acababa de escuchar pensé '¡Eso necesita ser enlazado!'. Corté una parte que podría ser genial, se la envié a Drake y le gustó, así que terminó escribiéndole una canción. Pero había que poner algo con mas gancho aún, así que vino "40" e hizo los cambios necesarios. No sé qué efecto le puso, pero era adictivo y funcionó bastante bien".
