"Fool's Gold" es el sexto tema del cuarto álbum de estudio de One Direction, FOUR.
Esta magnífica canción fue escrita conjuntamente por Liam Payne, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, ZAYN, Niall Horan, MoZella y Jamie Scott.
Jamie Scott, colaborador de muchos años en la composición de canciones para One Direction, habló a MTV sobre cómo escribir Fool's Gold con Harry Styles: "Estaba en el estudio con Harry, grabando voces, y pasó muy rápido. Asumió un sonido y un significado asombrosos para mí como escritor en este álbum".
El oro de Fool, o pirita, es un mineral de sulfuro común que se parece al oro gracias a su color amarillo latón, de ahí el apodo de "oro de Fool".
El lanzamiento de este tema estaba previsto para el 17 de noviembre de 2014, pero que se filtró 9 días antes.
Este exitoso tema fue brillantemente producido por los conocidos productores Matt Rad y Jamie Scott.
