Significado de la letra
En medio del agua fría que fluía rápidamente, me di cuenta de que había perdido algo. En la espera, sumergido hasta la cintura, vi un libro en el río, esperando a que lo encontrara. Intenté leerlo, hasta el cuello en el agua, luchando por mantenerme a flote mientras la marea me arrastraba mar adentro.
Con el agua en mis ojos, las palabras comenzaron a surgir de su lugar, hermosas y temibles. Las alcanzaba y me alimentaba de cada frase, como miel en mis labios. Pero luego sentí un amargo giro en mi costado, sabía que me llevarían a mi tumba. '¿No hay nadie que pueda salvarme?' grité, hundiéndome en lo profundo, entre el agua fría y un silencio denso.
¿Qué cosas dormían en las sombras, en las profundidades de la oscuridad? Me desperté para encontrarme en mi tumba. Y cuando perdí toda esperanza y miraba fijamente, alguien tomó ese pesado libro de mis manos. Liberándome de su peso después de satisfacer sus demandas, sentí cómo los colores se invertían, y cómo se levantaba una maldición de mi corazón.
Como alguien que recupera la vista, contemplé una luz brillante en la oscuridad. Las palabras, antes hermosas y temibles, ahora me mostraban una promesa de redención. La salvación llegó cuando alguien se hizo cargo de lo que me atormentaba, y finalmente pude ver la luz en medio de la oscuridad.
