Significado de la letra
Hay un lugar especial en la ciudad, una banqueta con mi nombre esperando por mí. También está la bulliciosa multitud de una fiesta prometiendo diversión. A pesar de eso, decido no ir. Solía pasar mis noches allí, tomando unas cuantas copas. Pero ahora una lleva a dos, y dos se convierten en cuatro, y sin darme cuenta, estoy pensando en ti.
En mi mente, te veo alejándote al final de la carretera, tus luces traseras desvaneciéndose en la noche. Gritando tu nombre bajo la lluvia torrencial, observando cómo nos dejaste atrás. Por eso evito salir por la ciudad, dejé todo el whisky que tenía en el suelo. Mi corazón necesita tiempo para superar lo que vivimos juntos, y ahí es donde mi mente se sumerge cuando bebo.
A veces siento que podría tomar unas cuantas copas, pero sé que tu recuerdo es persistente. Cada vez que lo intento, me encuentro nuevamente al final de la carretera, viendo cómo te alejas. Un simple pensamiento tuyo inunda mi mente como un río de despedida.
Así que prefiero quedarme en casa, recordándote en silencio mientras el alcohol no deja de recordarme lo que dejamos atrás. Mi refugio es en esos pensamientos cuando busco algo para beber. Porque cuando tomo, es ahí donde mi mente vuela.
