Significado de la letra
En 'The Myth' de la banda Down, se plantea la cuestión de si quienes la interpretan son tontos o si sus ojos les engañan. Se pregunta si están destinados a sufrir más que otros o si esa carga puede disminuir. Enfrentan a Azrael y se les describe como el mito que quema el sol.
Se los considera excepcionales en la vida, cargando con pesares envejecidos y reconocidos en la ciudad. Cuando la adversidad golpea, acuden a ellos en busca de ayuda. Se cuestiona si temen al tiempo, si evitan el presente y si se sienten privados, planteándose si podríamos decir lo mismo de ellos.
