Érase una vez, cuando era un niño, logré hacer rugir a un león. Dormía al sol en el viejo suelo del zoológico. Había ido a ver el parque donde solía jugar mi papá, se llama Villa Borghese y está en el camino hacia el África Oriental.
En la isla de Gran Comoro, donde crecí hasta los cuatro años, podía nadar, pescar y hacer snorkel en el fondo del océano. Y el viento reía, reía a través de los árboles, como diciendo: 'Aquí tienes a un niño que querrá que el mundo siga su camino en el África Oriental, en el África Oriental'.
