Biografía de Leslie Mills

Originally from Ft. Mitchell, Kentucky, Leslie got her start in the New York based rock band To The Moon Alice (A&M) before moving to Nashville to begin her solo career. After writing a group of songs for her project, Leslie also co-wrote the single "Just Like Love" for Peter Cetera, along with "Rule The World" for his album A Perfect World in 2001.

She signed as the first writer to Paul McCartney's publishing company MPL's new pop division from 2001-2003 (no relation to Heather Mills), received an Emmy Nomination in 2002 for the original song "On My Own"; released her debut album "Different for Girls" on Atlantic Records in 2003, and started getting her songs into film and soundtracks like What A Girl Wants, White Oleander, and Jammin' In Jamaica.

While working on her new album in Nashville, Tennessee, she continued writing for films and television after leaving Atlantic in 2004, and recent credits include Gray Matters (2007), Las Vegas, Just My Luck (performed by Chantal Kreviazuk), MyScene Goes Hollywood, Everything You Want, the upcoming film Live! (Eva Mendes 2007) among others.

2009 updates: Leslie is now preparing to Tour with Yanni as a featured artist as part of the Yanni Voices Tour. Leslie has been writing and recording for the project for the past two years. A PBS Special about Yanni Voices (behind the scenes) began airing in Nov/December 2008. The tour kicked off with a special concert filmed Live at The Forum (Mundo Imperial) in Acapulco Mexico. This will be a television special airing in March 2009 on PBS. The U.S. Tour begins in April 2009.
