La canción "PRIDE" es un tema introspectivo que continúa con los fuertes temas religiosos del álbum, DAMN.
Según el cantante el orgullo es a menudo considerado el original y más serio de los siete pecados capitales.
El tono de voz varía de alto a bajo a lo largo de la canción, lo que refleja el contraste entre sus ideales y sus acciones.
Kendrick profundiza en su propio orgullo y en su reconocimiento como uno de los mejores raperos vivos, causando tensión entre sus ideales y sus acciones.
