Sobre 'Scar Tissue'
Dos días antes del lanzamiento oficial, Camila publicó en su cuenta de Twitter un tweet ya borrado de las ilustraciones de la canción, promocionando la canción y también confirmando que sería lanzada el viernes 17 de agosto de 2018. Unas horas después del primer tweet, Camila se retractó de esas palabras y en su lugar cambió la fecha de lanzamiento al día anterior del 16 de agosto.
"Scar Tissue" es un tema en desarrollo que se creía que estaba en su próximo álbum Camila. Una baja calidad de la canción fue filtrada el 31 de agosto de 2017, luego una versión de mayor calidad apareció en línea el 5 de enero de 2018.
Camila interpretó por primera vez la canción en vivo el 9 de abril de 2018, la primera parada de su gira "Never Be the Same" con "Sangria Wine", que también era inédita en ese momento.
Un lanzamiento de la lista de temas del álbum reveló que el "Scar Tissue" no estará en el álbum. Hablando con Zach Sang sobre el futuro de "Scar Tissue", Camila dijo que esperaba "desarrollarlo más para el próximo álbum o algo más". En un directo en el que se celebraba el lanzamiento de Camila, afirmó que "Scar Tissue" no estaba incluido en el disco porque "no estaba listo para el álbum".
La cantante Charli XCX es acreditada en la escritura de la canción junto con Camila. El dúo también ha trabajado conjuntamente en "OMG".
Esta canción no está disponible para comprar en iTunes ya que se trata de una pista con fugas o sin estrenar. Camila no ha especificado cuándo/si la pista va a ser liberada.
