Significado de la letra
Esta canción de 'The Band', titulada 'Long Black Veil', cuenta la historia de un hombre acusado de un crimen que no cometió. Hace diez años, en una oscura y fría noche, alguien fue asesinado bajo la luz del ayuntamiento. A pesar de que había pocas personas presentes, todos coincidieron en que el hombre que huyó se parecía mucho a él.
