Solsbury Hill

Solsbury Hill

Peter Gabriel

ANÁLISIS | SIGNIFICADO

Climbing Solsbury Hill, under the city light, the wind swirling as time seemed to pause. In the stillness, an eagle emerged, captivating in its flight. Drawing near, its voice resonated, stretching every fiber within. Compelled to heed, with no option but to listen. Trusting in the realm of imagination, disbelief overshadowed. Heart pulsating, echoing with anticipation, until the whispered words, 'Grab your belongings, it's time to return.'

Choosing silent surrender, resigned to solitude, wary of being deemed absurd by friends. Pondering on turning water to wine, on facing closed doors awaiting closure. Day after day in a monotonous routine, till thoughts crystalized, pondering the ties to sever. Like a forgotten prop, detached from the machinery, heart throbbing in rhythm. A beckoning voice exclaims, 'Take your belongings, it's time to journey back home.'

When illusions entangle, leading astray from desired destinations, as freedom pirouettes within reach. Envisioned by ghostly figures, seeing beyond sightless gazes. Guiding with untold teachings of etiquette, showcasing an uncharted aspect. Today, rejection of substitutes, revealing the meaning behind the smile. Heart reverberating, speaking volumes, 'You keep my possessions, I am called back home.'
