Significado de la letra
La canción 'Higher' de Creed nos sumerge en un mundo de sueños y escapismo. El artista nos cuenta cómo se siente guiado hacia otro mundo cada vez que sueña, luchando al amanecer para no despertar y abandonar la comodidad del lugar en el que se encuentra. Existe en él un anhelo profundo por escapar de la realidad cotidiana y buscar un lugar en el que la visión de los ciegos se aclare y las calles estén bañadas en oro.
A pesar de desear un cambio en su mundo, el narrador aprecia las noches y los sueños que lo transportan a otra dimensión. Estaría dispuesto a sacrificar todo por hacer de la Tierra un reflejo de sus sueños, con la única diferencia de que el amor reemplace al odio.
La canción evoca una sensación de estar vivo por primera vez cuando se está en lo más alto, lo bastante fuerte para hacer realidad los sueños y convertirlos en parte de uno mismo. En definitiva, nos invita a elevarnos y a buscar un lugar donde la vista sea clara, las calles estén llenas de riquezas y el amor triunfe sobre el odio.
