Sobre 'Phantom Of The Opera'
En un discurso de Bruce Dickinson en el Estadio Ullevi, Gotemburgo, Suecia, en 2005, presentando la canción al público declaró lo siguiente: "Es una canción escrita por la banda hace mucho tiempo, antes de que yo estuviera en Iron Maiden... Era la 'New Wave of British Heavy Metal'. Yo estaba en una banda llamada Samson, y Iron Maiden era una banda de apoyo esa noche, y tocaron esta canción. Nunca antes había oído a una banda de metal tocar una canción como ésta, y esta canción, en realidad, es todo de lo que trata Iron Maiden. '¡EL FANTASMA DE LA ÓPERA!'".
"Phantom Of The Opera" es una novela francesa escrita por Gaston Leroux. Se ha adaptado a un musical de Andrew Lloyd Webber y a múltiples películas.
Aunque la canción fue grabada con Paul Di'Anno como vocalista, el veterano líder Bruce Dickinson ha sido conocido por decirle a la multitud en los conciertos que si no les gusta esta canción, entonces no "consiguen" a Iron Maiden.
