Sobre 'El Dorado'
Bruce Dickinson dijo lo siguiente: "Tiene una letra cínica sobre el problema económico que hay. Parecía una tormenta perfecta; la gente pedía dinero prestado como loca. Pensé, 'Esto realmente va a fastidiar a la gente' y por supuesto, ¡todos estamos metidos en un gran lío!. Y de eso se trata El Dorado, de venderle a alguien el mito de que 'las calles están pavimentadas con oro' y que se pregunte: '¿Dónde me inscribo?'".
Esta canción fue el primer sencillo del álbum y es narrada por un ejecutivo corrupto que se beneficia de la recesión económica mundial de finales de los años 2000, prometiendo a la gente que los llevaría a "una ciudad de oro" pero que sólo se marcharía con su dinero.
