Sobre 'Revelations'
Esta canción tiene un doble significado; por un lado hace referencia al libro bíblico con el mismo título y por otro lado tiene que ver con Aleister Crowley, un ocultista y fundador de Thelema, quien se consideraba a sí mismo como el Anticristo. Crowley creía que el hombre debía luchar contra la naturaleza para ejercitar su cerebro, algo a lo que la religión se opone fuertemente. Las ideas de Crowley fueron una revelación de algo que los líderes religiosos quieren oprimir, así que el título es un juego de palabras con el título que se refiere a dos opuestos enteros.
En una entrevista, Dickinson explica cómo el himno de Chesterton que abre la canción llegó a ser incluido en ella: "Me gustaban.... los himnos; me encantaban algunos de los rituales, algunas de... Es decir, son palabras hermosas. 'Jerusalén' y había otra (ah.... con palabras de.... G.K. Chesterton), 'Oh Dios de la Tierra y del Altar', muy fuego y azufre: 'Inclínate y escucha nuestro grito', ya sabes. Y lo usé para una canción de Iron Maiden, llamada 'Revelaciones'. A mi manera extraña y torpe estaba tratando de decir: mira, todo es lo mismo".
La canción fue compuesta por Bruce Dickinson, y es, de hecho, la primera canción escrita por él solo.
Las letras contienen muchas referencias al hinduismo y a la filosofía de Crowley.
