Sobre 'Let There Be More Light'
La primera canción de A Saucerful of Secrets, "Let There Be More Light" fue escrita por Roger Waters y cuenta con voces de Waters, David Gilmour y Richard Wright.
Lanzada en 1968, destaca por ser la primera canción de Pink Floyd que incluye un solo de guitarra del guitarrista David Gilmour, que se unió a la banda poco antes de la grabación de A Saucerful of Secrets.
El título de la canción es una obra de teatro de un pasaje bíblico "Let there be light", continuando lo que Waters había comenzado en el álbum anterior con "Take Up Thy Stethoscope And Walk".
Al igual que "Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun" (aunque a diferencia de la mayoría de las otras contribuciones de Waters), la canción presenta temas de ciencia ficción: las letras hablan de un avistamiento de OVNIs en la Royal Air Force Mildenhall, y aluden a la popular canción de los Beatles "Lucy In the Sky with Diamonds", así como a la legendaria figura inglesa Hereward the Wake.
